A Better Jean Skirt

I spotted a girl in DuPont Circle, DC, wearing a skirt like this-her's was much longer and you could obviously tell the bottom part was legs and it had a sorta dead head vibe-but.... DING! Inspiration had struck. This skirt has a small slit in the front so it's easy to wear while bike riding. The only thing is the zipper seams way too long but all in all I give it a solid Grade B.

I think a beginner can handle this-I modified mine so it has a more A-Line shape but thats totally optional.

Tools/ Equipment

• Jeans
  Figure out where you want the skirt to sit on your body, way up high? way down low? get a pair of jeans whose waist matches that measurement. I used jeans approximate 4 sizes larger than I usually wear so they'd sit nice and low, and they were a whopping 95 cents at thrift store
• Scissors
• Pins
• seam guide or ruler
• Sewing machine or needle and thread
