The holy grail of beauty products has been found and it is tinted moisturizer with spf. I hate to use moisturizer, ditto with thick goopy sunscreens and I usually use little something to even out my skincolor. Tick tock tick tock, sizzle sizzle, age and sun damage are happening right now. That reminds me of how often I floss my teeth and if I can recall checking my tire pressure this millenium, and Snackwell cookies are a rip beaue they are full of sugar. Oy.
It's America and if you have money, somebody makes something that will make it all better, and tinted moisturizer with spf is that product and it's good for you and will save you time and just makes sense.
WHATS IT LIKE
This product is usually sold in a tube that almost looks
like it wants to stand up, but it won't. They come in a few colors, but since
they are sorta sheer an exact match isn't vital. The spf ranges from measly
spf 4 to 15. The level of moisturizer is minimal, but still "humectant".
Some are really expensive and suck, some are expensive and are great, and
then there's some that are just right on the skin and pocket.
The hardest thing about these product is finding them. If you want to shut
one of those beauty counter babes up, ask a direct question. Don't be swayed
by their tinted moisturizers, or moisturizers with spf. You want the whole
enchilada, tinted moisturizer with spf. They don't have it? Move on.
I'm reminded of when I smoked Benson and Hedges deluxe Ultra Light Menthol
100's. Each time I went into a store I'd say "Hi, can I have a pack of
Benson and Hedges deluxe Ultra Light Menthol 100's, no not that pack, no,
the silver pack, yeah thats the one, but in menthol, oh wait, these
aren't 100's". If you know exactly what you're looking for, you can get
it, if you ask for it correctly.
I went to the times Square Sephora, and the staff was on me like white on
rice, guess I fit their profile for shoplifter or worse, short fingered vulgarian.
I said " do you have tinted moisturizer with spf?" They kept saying
its not my department, ask Melina, ask Chacko, and then they tried to sell
me the heinous Guerlain product.
It wasn't a great day, I also blew $25 on Benefits' DR Feelgood Matte gel. Great package, looks like shoe polish, but it sucked, heavy silicone gel that causes it own shine, going to dread using up this beauty purchase boo boo. I did get some of their great Sephora brand little fragrances that were $2 each and were pocket sized and perfect, but alas, they've been discontinued.
HOW TO USE IT
In the morning, after you steam, exfoliate, cleanse,
and tone simply smooth this product over your skin let it sit for half minute,
than pat some powder over, blush and ya know, whatever floats your boat. Repeat
after me, "whoopee, I'm wearing spf." (You're on your own with the
flossing)
These products are also great mixers. If ya want more coverage, mix in a bit
of foundation. Lately I've been mixing it as follows 1 chocolate chip size
dab of each tinted moisturizer w/ spf and foundation with a smear of Smashbox
Anti shine, mix in the palm of you hand then apply.
Now for the product reviews. Yes I know I can get a Cover Girl version at
the drug store if I want it, but I'm happy with what I use. Feel free to submit
a review if you've tried one of these and want to share.
